HOLIDAY IMMUNISATIONS
Adult and holiday immunisations are performed by the Practice Nurses by
appointment. If you are intending to go abroad it is advisable to make
an appointment to see the Nurse, two to three months in advance to
discuss the requirements. The Nurse stocks a full range of holiday
vaccinations and will give you all the necessary information. Some
vaccinations require a fee.
HEALTH CHECKS
Patients who are over 75 years of age or those who have not been seen by
a GP for three years or more may telephone and request an appointment
for a health check. This appointment will be with the Practice Nurse.
CHILD HEALTH CHECKS
Childhood immunisations are given by our Practice Nurse by appointment.
The Health Visitors run Well Baby Clinics and Clinics for the Under Fives. Details are available from the Health Visitor Team on 01273 242225.

perform routine health checks at 6 weeks and 8 months.
FAMILY PLANNING
Advice, counselling and of contraceptive services
including emergency contraception and pill checks are provided.
MATERNITY CARE
Maternity care is usually shared between your GP and Community Midwife.
As soon as you know you are pregnant please make an appointment to see
your doctor. The Midwives are based at the Tarner Children's
Centre. Our midwives are happy to support home births.
PREVENTION CARE
Cervical smears, blood pressure monitoring, urine testing and blood
tests are performed by the Practice Nurse during surgery hours.
CRYOTHERAPY
Dr Clarke runs a cryotherapy clinic once every 2 months. If you think that you need this service please make an appointment with your own doctor first to discuss this.
